FritillaryThis elegant stool cover is adapted from a design by Annie Jack. The wife of William Morris's chief carpenter and one of his best embroiderers she worked with his daughter May at Hammersmith. This is a repeating fabric design which lends itself perfectly to needlepoint Fritillary shown here as a stool top makes an excellent long bench cushion or even a headboard for a small bed. It leaves space for discreet initials and a date in the two bottom corners.
